Service Inspections

A certified AirCare Plus technician will screen your HVAC unit to identify problems with the thermostat, airflow, charge and economizer. Once the screening diagnosis identifies problems, the technician will make the adjustments prompted by the diagnostic tools to your HVAC unit for optimal performance.

Various components of this service may include:

Building Inspection

The basic inspection serves as an audit to assess the unit's current performance. The technician collects information regarding the building and unit, such as unit age, type, model and serial numbers, etc. Initial tests are performed to evaluate airflow, refrigerant charge, and economizer functionality.

Thermostat Inspection

Thermostat controls are verified to ensure proper settings, guaranteeing that the unit is running only when it needs to be and does not increase your energy usage.

Economizer Inspection

Servicing the economizer provides the greatest opportunity for energy savings. Until now, economizers have been difficult to service due to their complexity. Working with the AirCare Plus program the technician can diagnose the current operating condition of the economizer and repair or adjust it to provide as much "free cooling" as possible helping to lower energy bills.

Refrigerant Inspection

The Service Assistant™ is an automated tool that evaluates the refrigerant charge and performs an analysis to identify problems. The AirCare Plus software guides technicians through this inspection, prompting them to add or remove charge as necessary. Proper charge will extend the compressor's life and reduce energy consumption (and may reduce your energy bills). Service Assistant(TM)

Tools and Technology

Service Assistant™

The Service Assistant™ digitally measures the temperatures and pressures of your HVAC unit. This tool eliminates human error and provides the most accurate diagnosis available today. It identifies problems with operation and functionality to ensure optimal performance.

Data Collection Unit (PDA)

Device The service data is collected using a Personal Digital Assistant, or PDA. The PDA and AirCare Plus software guides the technician through each service. The process is completely paperless as all data is stored in the PDA.
